[Macao \u2013 23 April, 2022]<\/strong> Organised by H853 Fun Factory and co-organized by Humanish Club, “I am Wobbly \u2013 Wang Zheng Hong Art Exhibition” opening ceremony was held today at H853 Art Space, Lisboeta Macau.  The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr. Wan Su Cheng, Director General of Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR; Ms. Leong On Kei, Member of the Legislative Council of Macau; Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office; Mr. Lam Vai Ip, Head of Division of Visual Art of Cultural Affairs Bureau  ; Mr. Wilson Lam Chi Ian, CEO of Macau Creations Limited; Mr. Wong Ka Long, President of Macau Youth Art Association; Ms. Wang Zheng Hong, Curator artist of “I am Wobbly \u2013 Wang Zheng Hong Art Exhibition”; Mr. Hua Yuzhou, Founder of Humarish Club and Ms. Christine Hong, Vice President of Retail Business Development of Lisboeta Macau.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Christine Hong, Vice President of Retail Business Development of Lisboeta Macau said:  \u201cThanks to our teams\u2019 effort and hard work together in making \u2018I am Wobbly \u2013 Wang Zheng Hong Art Exhibition\u2019 happen, within two months, we have managed to plan and successfully carry out this exhibition, presenting more than 20 newly created giant stainless steel sculptures designed by Ms. Wang Zheng Hong, we wish to cheer up public with the tumblers\u2019 never falling positive attitude, continue to fight against the pandemic together and face challenges with positive energy. We hope the pandemic situation will get better soon and people\u2019s life will get back to normal.\u201d She also expressed gratitude to Ms. Wang Zheng Hong for attending the ceremony and shows great support to the exhibition, through introducing her sculptural art to Macau, we hope to  increase public\u2019s awareness on international art industry, also to encourage local artists to broaden their horizons as well as creating artworks in more forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Wang Zheng Hong, Curator artist of the exhibition, said:\u201d The inspiration for this art exhibition was from my father’s strict but caring parenting style during my childhood, he encourages me to learn from tumblers and never fall down, overcome challenges and obstacles again and again. I also hope these art pieces can inspire people to live in an optimistic mind and lifestyle, lastly wishes the best to people in Shanghai under the current pandemic situation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Wang Zheng Hong graduated from the Sculpture Department of the China Academy of Art and afterwards studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium majoring in jewelry and metalworking art. In 2009, She returned to China and obtained a doctorate degree for Pubic Arts from the China Academy of Art. Ms. Wang is currently acting as the deputy dean of the School of Handicraft Art of the China Academy of Art, with the learning experience in both sculpture and jewellery, she always hoped to combine both areas together and has long been devoted to the creation, academic research and practice of Public Arts as well as Arts and Crafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition opens from 23rd<\/sup> April to 22nd<\/sup> July, 2022, presents more than 20 pieces of enormous stainless steel sculptures, captures Ms. Wang Zheng Hong\u2019s memory of growing up, reflecting her attitude to standing tall in life through these tumblers, transforming her values and cultural perspectives into an interactive, innocent and healing exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
