[Macau \u2013 20 September, 2024] Humarish Club presents the solo exhibition \u201cHere or nowhere is our heaven\u201d of artist Ms. Lee Kyungmi with a series of works The artist is famous for her love of cats and her series of oil paintings of \u201cstreet scenes on the table\u201d painted on birch boards. Her experience of study abroad in Korea, as well as living in Germany and the United States have provided her with boundless creative inspiration. Starting from her own emotions and life experiences, the artist combines hopes and imaginings for the future. Drawing from her personal narrative, she layers time and intertwines various symbols and metaphors to create surreal landscapes from a unique perspective. Her delicate and realistic brushwork shows the artist’s unique ingenuity and control over the painting in a surreal style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony was held on September 20, welcoming esteemed guests from the community including: Mr. Hua Yuzhou, Founder and Art Director of Humarish Club; Ms. Christine Hong, Vice President of Marketing & Retail Development; Mr Lao Wa Chi, Creative Director of CHIIIDesign and member of the Macao Polytechnic University council, along with artist Ms. Lee Kyungmi officiating the ceremony.

About LEE KYOUNGMI<\/strong>
Born in South Korea in 1977, she obtained a master’s degree from the Painting Department of Hong-Ik University in Seoul in 2006. She has lived in Germany and the United States for many years, and now lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
