[Macau, September 30, 2025]<\/strong> “H853 Macau IP Artists Exhibition” organized by Lisboeta Macau and co-organized by Hwa’s Gallery (Macau), aims to celebrate the creativity and cultural vibrancy of Macao’s original IP creations. This exhibition brings together eight highly representative original Macao IPs, including Mr. Bubbles, Ho Sio Chong, SCAREDY CAT, Pundusina, Piepiepuu, Nanara & PP bear, Simayo, and Lisboeta Macau’s original IP \u2013 Nana, which these characters are not only captivate with their charming design but also carry the emotional warmth and collective memories of Macao\u2019s community, and to echo the themes of self-acceptance, appreciating daily life, and healing, they tell stories that resonate deeply with audiences of all ages.<\/p>\n

The exhibition seeks to share the creative inspiration and positive energy behind each IP through interactive and heartwarming displays, and to encourage visitors to be joyful, inspirited and connected with these beloved characters during the National Day holiday, as well as to gain a deeper appreciation for Macao\u2019s growing cultural and creative industry.<\/p>\n

NANA \u2013 <\/strong>Lisboeta Macau<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nana is an original IP of Lisboeta Macau, inspired by the Lucky Goddess of the Lisboeta Hotel and its mosaic mural fa\u00e7ade\u2014Nana is a guardian symbolizing wealth and happiness.<\/p>\n

Nana originates from the 1960s, taking the form of Fortuna to witness Macao\u2019s transformation from a fishing village into a modern society, while blessing its prosperity. By chance, she once rested on the mosaic mural of the Estoril Hotel, where she fell into a deep slumber. Years later, she was awakened by a lively atmosphere and found herself in Lisboeta Macau\u2014where she embarks on a wondrous new journey\u2026<\/p>\n

Nana is about to begin a brand-new journey.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With Nana\u2019s lucky charm, she will bring delightful surprises to the Lisboeta Macau through her unique charm and a series of thrilling activities, she will create unforgettable \u201clucky encounters\u201d for everyone. Whether it\u2019s an immersive art exhibition, limited-time themed experiences, or interactive surprises, Nana will cross paths with you unexpectedly at the Lisboeta Macau.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bubbles \u2013 Jessica Ieong<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Bubbles is a round, pink, and lovable character. He may not say much, but he always shows up when you need him the most. With a gentle smile and a few kind, steady words, he helps you through anxiety, confusion, and moments of self-doubt. Like a soft hug, Mr. Bubbles finds his way into tired hearts. His soothing presence and positive messages offer comfort in a fast-paced world \u2014 where exhaustion, pressure, and self-questioning often go unseen. As a symbol of Macao\u2019s creative spirit, Mr. Bubbles shares his gentle strength through illustrations, animated stories, and heartfelt moments. Even in a chaotic world, he reminds us that there\u2019s power in softness, and courage in living as your true self, at your own pace. Mr. Bubbles invites you to begin your own healing journey. There are no right answers here \u2014 only moments of connection, reflection, and personal resonance. Maybe you\u2019ll rediscover a forgotten part of yourself in a single quote. Jessica Ieong translates everyday urban emotions\u2014anxiety, pressure, and the longing to be understood\u2014into gentle visuals through minimal lines and warm palettes. She launched the emotion-driven IP \u201cMr. Bubbles\u201d in 2022 and expanded it in 2024 into the \u201cMr. Bubbles Family,\u201d featuring Mr. Bubbles, Nimbus, and Petals. Spanning illustration, merchandise, immersive exhibitions, and brand collaborations, her practice aims to offer soft companionship for urban audiences and to deliver warmth and healing.<\/p>\n

Ho Sio Chong \u2013 Sam Kin Hang (Shan Jin)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ho Sio Chong is a red-eared turtle from Macau. He was born with \u201ccongenital shell syndrome\u201d. However, in a bus accident, he learned to accept his imperfect self. Since then, he no longer needs a fake turtle shell to blend in with others, and creates unlimited possibilities.<\/p>\n

The creator of Ho Sio Chong – Sam Kin Hang, born in Macau, graduated with a degree in Animation from Shanghai, and founder of Mung Animation Studio, currently focused on managing the animated character IP “Ho Sio Chong.”<\/p>\n

SCAREDY CAT <\/strong>– <\/strong>M<\/strong>inami Tsubame<\/strong><\/p>\n

“SCAREDY CAT” tells the story of a group of vulnerable yet resilient girls grappling with pain, who search for their true selves amidst confusion and anxiety. They possess sensitive and rich inner worlds, continually getting hurt in the process of their search, yet these setbacks never hinder them. They are fragile but armed with the courage to confront everything. Like highly vigilant and easily startled cats, they are vulnerable yet not weak, resisting and healing themselves through trauma. They embody a “rebellious” spirit that defies the world.<\/p>\n

Minami Tsubame, an enigmatic and profound artist, shrouds her signature IP \u201cSCAREDY CAT\u201d in the mystique of fragile yet resilient wounded girls. They wander through a haze of confusion and anxiety, seeking their true selves, their sensitive souls veiled in an aura of the unknown. Bearing scars from their journey, they reveal a hidden courage\u2014much like startled cats, they silently resist and heal amidst trauma, exuding a \u201crebellious\u201d essence against the world. With her brush, Minami seems to unveil a cryptic depth of humanity, drawing all into the labyrinth of her art.<\/p>\n

Pundusina \u2013 <\/strong>Leong<\/strong> Kin, Lou Ka Choi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pundusina revolves around the \u201cShi Family,\u201d a Macau original cartoon brand that debuted in 2013, weaving together comics, illustrations, and animations to vividly portray the warmth and humor of everyday life on the Peninsula. At its heart lies Mrs. Shi, a wise and cheerful soul brimming with life\u2019s insights, leading her hardworking bus-driver husband and their lively, lovable children. Through delicate and emotion-rich artistry, the family brings to life Macau\u2019s unique local flavor and the harmonious beauty of family bonds. Pundusina not only captures the ordinary yet heartwarming moments of urban existence with its lighthearted and witty narrative style but also stirs deep hometown nostalgia through the characters\u2019 interactions and dialogues. As a vibrant emblem of Macau\u2019s cultural diversity, this IP not only chronicles the subtle shifts in local life but also accompanies generations of viewers in their growth, etching itself as a cherished memory in their hearts while gradually stepping onto a broader stage to share Macau\u2019s distinctive charm.<\/p>\n

LEONG KIN. Creator of Pundusina. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Macao Polytechnic University. Currently working as a content creator, comic artist and illustrator-while serving as a full-time cat servant.<\/p>\n

LOU KA CHOI. Founder of Pundusina, multimedia designer. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Macao Polytechnic University. Currently working in brand strategy, merchandise design and content creation while studying for a master\u2019s degree in Multimedia Animation Art at National Taiwan University of Arts.<\/p>\n

Piepiepuu \u2013 Keika Leong<\/strong><\/p>\n

Piepiepuu is an original character launched in 2020 by Macau\u2019s Meron Design Ltd. under its illustration and cultural creative brand. Featuring an adorable little tree as the protagonist, the brand name playfully merges \u201cpie\u201d from the English \u201ccutie pie\u201d with \u201cpuu\u201d (tree) in Finnish, evoking the infusion of warmth and cuteness into daily life. Piepiepuu crafts products through lively and whimsical illustrations that brim with healing energy and the power of growth, inviting everyone to bask in the gentle embrace of a little tree, feeling endless comfort and delight.<\/p>\n

Creator of “PUU,” Keika graduated from Macao Polytechnic University. She is a co-founder of Meron Design Ltd. and the brand piepiepuu. As a member of the Macau Illustrators Association and the local design brand “Naughty Roll,” her works have been exhibited in various locations, including Macau, South Korea, and Taiwan.<\/p>\n

Nanara & PP Bear \u2013 Yuan Ka Min<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanara & PP bear are a heartwarming, adorable duo born in Macau in 2022, weaving a tale brimming with hope and love. Nanara , a tiny, delicate girl, entered the world with congenital deafness, a gentle challenge etched into her young life by fate. Her heart, more sensitive than most, once led her to shyness and introspection, yet her bright, sparkling eyes gleam with a longing for a beautiful life, like the warmest star in the night sky, tugging at our hearts. Thankfully, PP Bear, her fluffy guardian angel, is always by her side! This playful, loving bear creates a dreamy, colorful world for her with goofy antics and cheerful laughter. Each time PP Bear bounces into view, a joyful smile lights up Nanara\u2019s face, as if a warm \u201cdopamine\u201d dance sparkles in her heart, helping her step out of self-doubt to bloom into a confident, cheerful soul. Together, they spread happiness and positivity in their unique, cozy way, striking a chord with our own dreams and courage, reminding every once-lost spirit that love and companionship can illuminate life\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Simayo – <\/strong>Ben Cheong<\/strong><\/p>\n

SIMAYO is crafted with immense dedication and creativity by founder Ben, featuring three captivating cat characters\u2014HAMI, BOOMZ, and Pear\u2014to infuse the hustle of urban life with a soothing warmth. These playful and adorable felines come to life through a gentle, vibrant art style, as if leaping off the canvas to embark on a tranquil journey for the soul. Rooted in a deep understanding of modern life\u2019s challenges, the IP aims to offer a moment of respite to those navigating busyness and stress, awakening inner peace and joy. Through these lively cat images, Little Rest 34 not only brightens the monotony of daily routines but also envelops them with a healing aura, encouraging people to pause in their fast-paced lives and embrace the beauty of nature and relaxation, serving as a gentle companion for the growth of every heart.<\/p>\n

Ben Cheong – Leader of \u201cSIMAYO\u201d, Founder & Creative Director of CLIFFS STUDIO, over 16 years of experience in 3D animation and commercial production. He has contributed to international projects for SAMSUNG, Hisense, VIVO, OPPO, Chow Tai Fook, as well as the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. However, \u201cSIMAYO\u201d does not belong to a single author. It embodies the dreams and passion of more than a dozen Macao animators, carrying the belief of bringing local creations onto the global stage, and has become a true spirit of our team.<\/p>\n
