To bridge a platform for cultural and artistic exchanges with contemporary art exhibitions and interactive activity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n

[Macao \u2013 22 December, 2021] Lisboeta Macau launches \u201cLisboeta Neighborhood\u201d with the aim to establish a platform through art and culture, to communicate with audiences from the Greater Bay Area and to promote the development of the art and culture industry in Macau. Today has marked an inauguration by two art events – the Interactive art activity \u201cIT\u2019S ALL ABOUT FUN\u201d and the first \u201cChinese and International Pop-Up Art Alliance – Super Art Fair\u201d on December 22, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremonies of the events were officiated by Ms. Bai Bing, the Director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Mr. Zhou Chunya, the famous Chinese contemporary artist, Ms. Leong On Kei, Member of the Legislative Council of Macau, Ms. Lou Ho Ian, the representative of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Acting Head of the Department of Exhibitions and Museums, Mr. Carlos Marreiros, President of Albergue SCM \u2013 ALBcreativeLAB, Mr. Hua Yuzhou, Curator of the Super Art Fair, Mr. Lui Chak Keong, Curator of \u201cIT\u2019S ALL ABOUT FUN\u201d interactive art activity, and Ms. Connie Kong, Director of Lisboeta Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a local company with its strong ties at the heart of Macau, Lisboeta Macau launches \u201cLisboeta Neighbourhood\u201d as a steer for comprehensively practicing its corporate social responsibility, to promote economic, environmental and social sustainable development with a major focus on the areas of culture, arts and sports. In the aspect of art, \u201cLisboeta Neighbourhood\u201d is officially kicked-off by the interactive art activity – \u201cIT\u2019S ALL ABOUT FUN\u201d, which the event welcome all visitors to create the first artwork of Lisboeta Macau, named \u201cIT\u2019S ALL ABOUT FUN\u201d together by a simple approach of throwing a colored ball on a canvas paint. Through organising a variety of activities, such as workshops, artworks display and exhibitions, Lisboeta Macau aims to promote the accessibility of culture and arts for people of various age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first \u201cChinese and International Pop-Up Art Alliance – Super Art Fair\u201d features around two hundreds of artworks including contemporary art, avant-garde and limited edition of co-branded art pieces, creating a platform for showcasing the vitality and perspective of the young generation of artists in China and Macau. The exhibition will be held until February 20, 2022 and guests are welcome to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Connie Kong, Director of Lisboeta Macau said at the opening ceremony, \u201cwe hope these two art events can demonstrate the capability and advantages of Lisboeta Macau in terms of innovative resources, which could greatly contribute to the development of art and culture in Macau and the Greater Bay Area, so as to consolidate cultural exchanges and integration in setting up a bridge for local artists to go towards the whole country. By forming new possibilities of collaboration in art and culture, and actively discover new talented artists and their works, we can advance the development of culture and art in Macau and the Greater Bay Area. “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Hua Yuzhou, Curator of the Super Art Fair, said, \u201cthe fact that young people are willing to spend their free time to see a good exhibition reflects a tendency that they desire to have a life style with sensation of art.  Art seems to be relatively obscure and distant to the general public, however, art may be just a step away from us, or it may accompany us for the rest of our lives. The aim of this exhibition is to attract young people to come to exhibition with vanguard and contemporary artworks and offer young people of Macau to enter the art world. Lisboeta Macau has changed the way hotels used to be. It has incorporated cultural and art elements into it, from its content to design, such as those unique attractions that are newly brought into Macau. With a novel design concept of from the past to the future, it offers young people a new way to say goodbye to the past. I think this exhibition is very much in line with the character of Lisboeta Macau.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A variety of distinctive artworks, including works by renowned artists such as Takashi Murakami and Benrei Huang, are showcased to let visitors to experience the artistic environment at Lisboeta Macau. A prime example is the upcoming exhibition of contemporary Chinese artists \u201cThe Journey Begins: From H853 to Contemporary Art\u201d, which is held at the Humarish Club, an international gallery at H853 Fun Factory. This most anticipated exhibition features the works of the leading Chinese artists included Zhou Chunya, Ding Yi, Xue Song, Zheng Hengdong and Li Qiang. The exhibition will start from 25 December, 2021 and aim to present the works of China’s most influential artists to Macau audiences. Through the idea of “Lisboeta Neighborhood”, Lisboeta Macau hopes from a visual perspective, lead guests to integrate art into their life, and to explore more possibilities of art and culture with guests together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
